Aston Villa have been very quiet in the transfer market this summer. They parted ways with Boubacar Kamara and Douglas Luiz and not signed any replacements. They did get goalkeeper Marco Bizot from Brest and Ollie Watkins seems to be set for another season after the usual rumors of him leaving. They need another reliable goal scorer and unless some late move in the market happens, it looks like this squad is weaker than in previous years.

They slipped a couple of places from the previous year and I expect them to slip a couple of more this year. They should finish in the top half of the table, but this season could be a bit of a let- down.

ASTON VILLA MATCH PREDICTIONS

Week 21 Aston Villa Match Predictions
Aston VillaJan 7Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace always seemed to be punching above their weight, and while their League position looked pretty good for much of the first half of the season, reality has set in. Even with the addition of Brennan Johnson from Spurs, the Eagles are going to flop around the middle of the table as usual! I don’t see any real problems for Aston Villa here, and at the moment the odds are Pick’em. So that’s what I’ll do. Aston Villa. Pick.
