Fulham treading water for the second year in a row. Occupying the 11th slot again must seem a little disappointing for the Cottagers. But here is a team with ambition. 5-year manager Marco Silva left at the end of last season to take the top job at Benfica. His replacement, Alvaro Arbeloa, is bringing new ideas, and players, with him. He has been managing Real Madrid’s youth team and a short stint as 1st team manager in an interim basis. He has convinced Fulham to sign a couple of young prospects from his old team, Gonzalo Garcia and Cesar Palacios and they could supply the quality that Fulham need to take them to the next level.
I think this year could see them break out of the middle of the pack and make a challenge for the 5th or 6th spot, and a place in Europe next year. Definately a team to watch this time around.
