I don’t think Spurs want a repeat of the last two seasons. they finished 17th again only 2 points clear of relegation. After a bout of manager-merry-go-round they seem to have settled on Roberto De Zerbi, and so far, so good. Tottenham have been spending freely in the transfer market. Sandro Tonali Newcastle, Jan Paul van Hecke Brighton and Mateus Fernandes West Ham have joined for a collective fee of more than $320 million (as far as I’m concerned Fernandes is a waste of money). With perhaps more to come. They have also unloaded some dead weight. Luka Vuskovic, Lucas Bergvall, Radu Dragusin and Christian Romero will all be leaving. For a few years now Tottenham have been carrying too many players that were just not good enough. Like the acquisitions I think more will be leaving before it’s all done.
