Well how much worse can it get? From 5th last year to 17th is a pretty big drop. Maybe some excuses can be made for injuries, but all teams have injuries. I thought Postgecoglou might bring change but despite winning the Europa Cup he was sent packing. New manager Thomas Frank has big shoes to fill but many big name managers have not been able to get their feet into them as of late. They have been fiddling about in the transfer market. Mo Kudus from West Ham and Mathys Tel have signed. I may be wrong but $70 mil for anyone from West Ham is a waste.

What this season comes down to is: can Frank replicate the magic that he managed at Brentford? Apart from divine intervention, I can’t see Spurs rising above mid table (and that might be a stretch).   Spurs are willing to let Heung-Min Son (Sonny) go for the knock down price of $30 mil. He is still only 33 with many good years left, a steal of a deal. He is rumored to be looking at the US market. Mid-fielder Joao Palhinha will join on a one year loan from Bayern Munich with an option to buy. His numbers last year were amazing and he may be just the right fit. I expect a very positive contribution from him.

TOTTENHAM MATCH PREDICTIONS

Week 21 Tottenham Match Predictions
Bournemouth Jan 7 Tottenham
Bournemouth held Arsenal to some degree last time and only lost by the one goal. For some reason Tottenham seem to be better away from their home ground. Without taking out any big loans to finance this move, I will take Spurs to win this. Tottenham +1/2
