The Magpies are in the top European competition again this upcoming year, but with the departure of Alexander Isak it’s going to be difficult to make any kind of predictions. The last time they were in the Champions League they were overwhelmed and I fear the same fate awaits this time around as well. They improved their league position by a couple of places by finishing 5th but they did lose a few games that they should have won (especially at home).

Manchester United and Newcastle United players competing for a header during Premier League match at Old Trafford.

With the departure of Isak they also lost Callum Wilson and Sean Longstaff with only Anthony Elanga of Notts Forest coming on board. I successfully predicted exactly where The Magpies would finish last year but this year I see them dropping 3 or 4 places to end up 7th or 8th.

NEWCASTLE MATCH PREDICTIONS

Week 21 Newcastle Match Predictions
Newcastle Jan 7 Leeds U
Another game that looks like it could go to a draw. Leeds have been putting some results together of late, but they need an extra push to go clear of the drop zone. They may get it here. It wouldn’t be a large bet, but I think I’ll take the Whites to at least snag a point. Leeds +1/2
