My Gold Star Pick was a push this week. Aston Villa was pegged to beat Wolves by mor than one goal. They made a meal out of what should have been a light snack, but eventually did manage to win by the one goal. I think using Roger Bennet as a comparison is a good measure of our success rate. This week we both got 3 right and 3 wrong.

Tottenham continue on their slide to obscurity and add their horrible home record with yet another loss.

The closest thing to an upset was Leeds coming back from 2 goals down and almost claiming a draw except for a last gasp goal from Phil Foden. Wolves continue their slide to oblivion with West Ham, Notts Forest and Burnley hot on their heels.

	FULHAM The Cottagers		MANCHESTER CITY The Citizens

PREDICTIONS: Fulham walked away with all three points last week against Tottenham, who look ripe for the picking for just about anybody who turns up. Even though the Cottagers are at home this week, I think Manchester City are a class above them. Leeds ran them close last time out, but they should claim all the points this week. Manchester City -1

	BOURNEMOUTH The Cherries		EVERTON The Toffees
	Odds -1/2	O/U 2-1/2		Odds +1/2
PREDICTIONS: Everton got a dose of reality last time out, and even Jordan Pickford couldn’t save them. Newcastle ran all over then and I think the same may happen down on the South Coast. The Cherries can be tricky at home, so I’ll go with the local lads. Bournemouth -1/2

	NEWCASTLE The Magpies		TOTTENHAM The Spurs

PREDICTIONS: Tottenham are all over the place these days. If last week’s game against Everton is any gauge, the Magpies might be ready to climb up the table. Unfortunately for Spurs, the long trip up North will not end kindly if the Londoners continue their sorry attempt to make a dent on their league position, as every week they seem to slip further down the pile. Newcastle -1/2

	BURNLEY The Clarets		CRYSTAL PALACE The Eagles
	Odds +1/2	O/U 2-1/2		Odds -1/2
PREDICTIONS: The Clarets are in trouble and it doesn’t take a clairvoyant to see where they are headed. Their problems are plain to see: the main one being they have no real offense. Carl Walker still does outstanding work in the defense, but they need someone who can score a goal. Crystal Palace were unlucky against Manchester United last week, but I see them adding to Burnley’s woes with a convincing win. Crystal Palace +1/2

	ARSENAL The Gunners		BRENTFORD The Bees
	Odds -1-1/2	O/U 2-1/2		Odds +11/2
PREDICTIONS: Arsenal play their third London derby in as many weeks and should resume their winning ways against a very fortunate Brentford team that are far exceeding expectations, considering losing their manager and key players before the start of the season. The real world should be waiting for them at Emirates Stadium on Wednesday, and I expect the Gunners to make short work of the Bees. Arsenal -1/2

	BRIGHTON The Seagulls		ASTON VILLA The Villans
	Odds -1-1/2	O/U 2-1/2		Odds +1/2
PREDICTIONS: Aston Villa made hard work of beating the Wolves last week and the Seagulls always save their best efforts for the home crowd. This should run close and my preference would be for Brighton…not by much, but by looking at the Villans’ performance last week, this should go to the Seagulls. Brighton -1/2

WEEK 14 GAME 7 – Wed Dec 3rd 12:30

	WOLVERHAMPTON The Wolves		NOTTINGHAM FORST The Tricky Trees
	Odds +1/2	O/U 2-1/2		Odds -1/2
PREDICTIONS: Is this the week Wolves get to add some points to their meager tally so far? This is probably the best chance they’ll get (except for maybe playing Burnley every week for the rest of the season.) Forest’s win at Liverpool a couple of weeks ago was a fluke and this could go either way. It goes without saying that both these teams need the points, but in all fairness, the Tricky Trees would make better use of them. It would take Houdini to escape from the mess the Wolves find themselves in. So even if they do grind out a win, it won’t do them much good at this point. No Bet

	LIVERPOOL The Reds		SUNDERLAND The Black Cats
	Odds -11/2	O/U 3		Odds +11/2
PREDICTIONS: Who knows what to expect here? The Reds took care of West Ham last week, but lots of high school teams could have managed that. I don’t know whether Liverpool have regained their confidence yet, but they will face a much better side in Sunderland. As things stand, I’ll take the Black Cats and the points, maybe they won’t win, but should keep it close. Sunderland +1/2

	LEEDS The Whites		CHELSEA The Blues
	Odds +1/2	O/U 2-1/2		Odds -1/2
PREDICTIONS: Chelsea were unfortunate last week with just a draw with Arsenal. Going down a man certainly didn’t help their chances and before that they looked to have the upper hand. Leeds are fighting for their lives (and also Manager, Daniel Farke’s job) and ran Manchester City close last week and only missed out on a draw in the closing seconds. Chelsea should get this done and Cole Palmer is close to returning to a team that has been doing just fine without him. Chelsea -1/2

WEEK 14 GAME 10 – Thu Dec 4th 1:00

	MANCHESTER UNITED The Red Devils		WEST HAM The Hammers
	Odds -1	O/U 3		Odds +1
PREDICTIONS: The Hammers go North to Old Trafford and will get precious little from a team that is slowly improving. It has been slow with newcomers Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo not taking to their new surroundings immediately. They seem to be improving and with that so are United. West Ham are a joke, not a very funny one either. So therefore, Manchester United -1
